Gnunilink

Gnunilink is a great project started by simon wood see the sourceforge site it is a simple circuit that allows you to attach a pc to a sony car headunit. It allows control from the head unit and included the ability to display disk and track names

This project is still under continous development on sophana's site. They are still cracking more and more commands and if you understand Pic programming you can develop many different systems. And becuase of sony's forward thinking on the bus system you can even add many devices to the same bus. For example on to interface a pc and another simply a jack point on the car dash to allow people to plug walkman's, ipods, mp3 players into.

I have this working on to head units one a MD unit and another older tape head, and now when ever I see a head unit in a market, boot fair i always look to see if it is sony and includeds a unilink port
